A weekly employee schedule can look complete and still leave a manager with a coverage
problem. Someone calls out, an employee’s availability changes, or a shift needs
a qualified replacement at another location. Those are the everyday problems The
Schedulist is here to help solve.

**The Schedulist publishes practical employee scheduling guides and research-based
software comparisons** for people responsible for hourly and shift-based teams.

**Ownership:** The Schedulist is fully owned and operated by Connecteam, a company
that sells employee scheduling and management software. Our editorial team controls
product selection, evaluation criteria, scores, and rankings. Connecteam’s ownership
does not influence those decisions. Read more in [Ownership and Funding](https://theschedulist.com/how-we-make-money/).

## Who we write for

We write for business owners, schedulers, team managers, and operations leaders,
primarily at small and midsize organizations. Our focus is on coordinating employees
across shifts, roles, and locations, especially when staffing needs change.

Our coverage is US-focused. We identify location-specific requirements when they
matter, including labor rules and product availability.

## What we publish

Our [shift scheduling guides](https://theschedulist.com/shift-scheduling/) cover
the work behind a reliable schedule. Topics include collecting employee availability,
filling [open shifts](https://theschedulist.com/shift-scheduling/open-shifts/),
managing [shift swaps](https://theschedulist.com/shift-scheduling/shift-swaps/),
and resolving [scheduling conflicts](https://theschedulist.com/shift-scheduling/scheduling-conflicts/).

Our [employee scheduling software comparisons](https://theschedulist.com/scheduling-software/)
help readers narrow the options for their team. We look at what each product can
do, what its plans include, what reviewers report about using it, and where its
limitations matter.

## How our software research works

We examine official product documentation for features, pricing, plan limits, and
integrations. We use published third-party user reviews to understand reported experiences
with usability, reliability, support, and day-to-day scheduling.

**We do not conduct hands-on software testing.** Our conclusions come from documented
product facts and a structured synthesis of existing user feedback. Each ranked
comparison has its own eligibility rules and scoring criteria, explained in [How We Review Software](https://theschedulist.com/how-we-review-software/).

## Editorial decisions and accountability

Connecteam can appear in our comparisons under the same rules as other vendors.
It receives no guaranteed inclusion or preferred ranking and may be excluded when
it does not qualify.

The Schedulist earns no advertising, affiliate, referral, sponsorship, or other
direct revenue. Connecteam’s ownership still matters when assessing our recommendations,
which is why we disclose it.

We name the people responsible for our articles and correct material errors when
they are confirmed. Our [Editorial Guidelines](https://theschedulist.com/editorial-guidelines/)
and [Corrections Policy](https://theschedulist.com/corrections-policy/) explain
those standards.
