The Schedulist publishes practical advice on employee shift scheduling and research-
based comparisons of scheduling software. These guidelines explain how we choose
topics, check facts, make recommendations, and correct our work.

**Ownership:** The Schedulist is fully owned and operated by Connecteam, which sells
employee scheduling software. Our editorial team has full freedom to select products,
decide eligibility, set criteria, and determine scores and rankings. Connecteam’s
ownership does not influence those decisions. Our [Ownership and Funding](https://theschedulist.com/how-we-make-money/)
page explains the relationship.

## Our scope and audience

We write for managers, schedulers, and business owners responsible for hourly and
shift-based employees, primarily in the United States. Our guides focus on real
scheduling tasks, including staffing coverage, availability, shift changes, and
work schedules.

Appointment booking, personal calendars, and project scheduling are outside our
normal scope. When an example depends on local labor rules or a product’s regional
availability, we identify the relevant context.

## How we check facts

We check consequential claims against suitable sources. Vendor documentation is
our first stop for product features, pricing, plan restrictions, and integrations.
Existing third-party user reviews help us understand reported product experience.

We assess each source for relevance and freshness. We do not turn isolated complaints,
outdated documentation, or unsupported marketing claims into broad conclusions.
If evidence is limited or contradictory, we say so.

For specific legal requirements, we rely on current official or government sources
and identify the relevant jurisdiction. Our scheduling guides are not legal advice.

## How we review software

The Schedulist conducts **meta-reviews of existing evidence**. We do not test software
hands-on or claim experience using a product.

For each comparison, we define the buyer’s problem, minimum qualifications, and
weighted scoring criteria before ranking products. We assess documented capabilities
and use existing user reviews to understand reported strengths and drawbacks. Products
with insufficient evidence can remain unranked.

Our [How We Review Software](https://theschedulist.com/how-we-review-software/)
page explains the full process, including review sampling, score calculation, and
tie-breakers.

## How we make recommendations

Every recommendation needs a reason a buyer can evaluate. We explain who a product
fits, what drives its assessment, and which limitations could change the decision.

We do not reserve places for well-known providers or commit to a fixed number of
products. A vendor cannot purchase coverage, influence an evaluation, or approve
our conclusions before publication.

## Original analysis and sourcing

Our work should add something useful to the information already available. That
can include an original decision framework, a comparison built around a specific
scheduling need, or a synthesis of patterns in existing user feedback.

We do not use Connecteam’s software listicles, reviews, or other editorial articles
as research sources or templates. When Connecteam is evaluated, we can use its official
product and help documentation for factual claims about Connecteam under the same
rules used for competitors.

We credit relevant sources and do not reproduce substantial portions of someone
else’s work.

## Authors and AI assistance

Articles identify a real author or responsible editorial team. We do not invent
authors, qualifications, quotes, customer experiences, or testing histories.

AI can assist with finding and organizing material, analyzing sources, drafting,
editing, and quality checks. It cannot replace source verification. A human editor
takes responsibility for factual accuracy and final recommendations.

## Funding and editorial control

The Schedulist receives no advertising, affiliate, referral, sponsorship, or other
direct revenue. Connecteam receives no automatic inclusion or favorable ranking
because it owns the site. The editorial team can exclude Connecteam or rank other
software higher when the evidence supports that result.

The ownership relationship is disclosed in our commercial comparisons as well as
on [Ownership and Funding](https://theschedulist.com/how-we-make-money/).

## Corrections and updates

We correct confirmed material errors and explain substantive corrections that affect
advice, eligibility, scores, or rankings. Routine wording and formatting changes
may not require a public note. Dates should reflect real publication or update work.

We consider evidence-backed feedback from readers and software companies. A vendor’s
disagreement with an unfavorable assessment is not itself evidence of an error.
Our [Corrections Policy](https://theschedulist.com/corrections-policy/) explains
how to report an issue, or you can [contact us](https://theschedulist.com/contact/).
